Animal Hamburg - Nature in a city of millions
Director: Holger Vogt
Seagulls at the fish market, breeding geese on a balcony near the city center, foxes at the airport, cranes and eagles, deer and butterflies. No other major German city is home to as many animal and plant species as Hamburg. Hamburg's natural inventory includes 160 species of breeding birds and more than 50 species of mammals. The film shows the most unusual places in the city, where eagle owls breed, seals rest on sandbanks and beavers surf the tidal current of the Elbe.
